Born of experiments with ink on paper, artworks in the Butterfly Effects series recall complex patterns found in nature. Graphically striking yet with an extraordinary degree of intricate detail and texture, the imperfect symmetries, deeply saturated colours and ethereal nature of these works invite repeated contemplation.
The series takes its name from "The Butterfly Effect", a phenomenon of physics whereby the smallest changes to the initial conditions of a process can result in significant differences to the outcome.
